Originally designed as a folly in Central Park, the planning, restoration, and re-design of the 2,500sf Belvedere Castle was undertaken to meet the needs of a visitors information center and administrative offices for park rangers and maintenance staff. Work included the transformation of the basement into a functional work environment, incorporating an ADA compliant bathroom, locker area, and sufficient storage space.
Additional work included the radon removal system and a complete upgrade of the HVAC and electrical systems. The restoration was completed in 2000 for the Central Park Conservancy and NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
